UOB Freshers Fayre
SVB had a stall at the University of Bradford freshers fayre today! We got the chance to meet lots of new people and let people know how Sharing Voices can support BAME people in the community
Muslim Council 40th anniversary event
SVB's Lilly was recently invited to the Muslim Council 40th anniversary event! She had a great time and had the opportunity to meet lots of new people, she looks forward to attending lots more events in the future
School Visits
SVB's Sarah and Khadija have been out in local schools working with children and young people to support them around their mental health and wellbeing. We have received great feedback from the schools so far! 👏🏽🧠🧡
Faith Approaches to Mental Wellbeing session
Ghazala Mir @universityofleeds and Alyas Karmani shared insights into Culturally Adapted Behavioural Activation Therapy today at the Faith Approaches to Mental Wellbeing session, in person and on zoom. Women’s poetry workshop
This week we had some of the women from the Khushi group lead the session, they took part in a poetry workshop where they all read and wrote poetry. It was a enjoyable experience and we received great feedback from our group
SVB Team Meal
The SVB team recently went on a staff meal, we even had some of our board members join us which was amazing! The food was fab but the company was even better, we look forward to many more staff outings in the future.
