Networking Event
Lilly attended a fantastic event this morning. It was a successful event and a great networking opportunity. We will be working collaboratively with Nadira in the near future. We are looking forward to our Islamaphobia event which will be on the 25th November at Sharing Voices, details to follow.
Islamophobia Awareness Month
This month is Islamophobia Awareness Month ☪️ We wanted to share some information on what islamophobia is and how it can affect people in our local community. At SVB we stand against any type of injustice. We are hopeful for change!
Women’s MH Workshop
Congrats to our women's team here at SVB for running the mental health workshop last week at Carlisle Business Centre! We had a great turn out and lots of fab feedback.
BME Mens Group
Todays session was around SAD seasonal affective disorder ( known as "winter depression" because the symptoms are usually more apparent and more severe during the winter. We discussed causes and treatment therapies.
West Yorkshire Police Sikh Association Launch Event
SVB's Lilly attended the West Yorkshire Police Sikh Association Launch Event today, it was a fantastic event! Lilly had the opportunity to meet lots of new people within the WY Police force whilst also connecting with other organisations that were invited. We look forward to continuing our existing relationship with the West Yorkshire Police in the future.
Celebrating Black History at SVB
As October was Black History Month, at SVB we wanted to host an event celebrating Black History with our women's group! We spent our time eating, socialising and sharing how BHM resonated with us all.
